Mophane Worms Stew


Ingredients 1 cup x Mophane worms 3 ripe x medium tomatoes, chopped 2 cups x water 1 medium x onion,chopped 1 teaspoon x hot chilli sauce 1 pinch x salt 1 pinch x pepper 1 tablespoon x cooking oil Cooking Tip >soak the worms in water for a minimum of 4 hrs prior to cooking >can also be soaked overnight in a mix of water and beer (yes beer) Directions 1.when worms are re hydrated, they are ready, drain the worms 2. place the worms in a pot and bring to a boil for 20 - 30 minutes and spear the water for later 3. in a separate pan, heat the oil, add onions and cook for 3 mins until soft 4. add the worms, tomatoes and chilli sauce, together with half a cup of the reserved liquid 5. bring to the boil and cook for 10 mins, with lower heat for simmering, stirring from time to time 6.season with salt and pepper and add more chilli sauce if necessary 7. best served with pap ENJOY!!!!Ingredients
